Hello, curious seekers of health and wellbeing. I'm pleased to have three unique therapeutic offerings to assist your journey of healing. All three processes offer transformational experiences, depending on what you wish to focus upon.
Weekly 'talk therapy' with different focuses, working either in-person (preferable) or online via Zoom. Most clients request long-term psychotherapy which aims at an evolving sense of self in the world. I provide short-term counselling for EAP services Telus Health and Instep Consulting. I provide counselling and psychotherapy for ACC Sensitive Claims clients.
I am available to provide supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists, and happy to work in-person or online.
An enriching weekly process of sharing your experiences with others, co-creating learning and growth.
ReWilding means re-establishing relationships of reverence and reciprocity with the natural world through ritual, ceremony, activity and deeply embodied connection. I offer this process for individuals, and will soon offer a group experience of eight day-long workshops.
Check out each process for further information, and I look forward to talking with you about which options meet your desires for growth and transformation.
Kia ora, therapeutic work has been my passion for more than 30 years, working in several community agencies with a wide variety of individuals and couples. I’ve also enjoyed some years in clinical roles in the corporate world. My private practice has flourished since 2012.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (PBANZ), Certified Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy) and a Full Member of Association of Psychotherapists of Aotearoa New Zealand/Te Rōpū Whakaora Hinengaro (APANZ). I served on the Board of the Aotearoa New Zealand Transactional Analysis Association (ANZTAA) between 2013-2022, holding several Executive roles, including President.
I also have a BA (Psychology), Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, and Level 1 Certificate in Narrative Therapy. I hold a Certificate in Clinical Supervision and I completed a two-year Group Psychotherapy training programme in 2023.
I am Tangata Tiriti, of Celtic/Norse/Jewish heritage. I acknowledge and celebrate Māori as Tangata Whenua of Aotearoa New Zealand. I honour all aspects of people’s experience, such as ethnicity and culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, and spiritual beliefs.
I work with every client’s capacity to discover and use healthy and empowering ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. Some benefits of therapy with me are likely to be greater self-acceptance; more resilience and capacity for meeting challenges; more satisfaction in your relationships; confidence as a parent; enjoyment and growth of your career; and regaining your ability for relaxation.
